PHOTO CONTEST
SUMMER 2019
Congratulations to our $250 grand prize winner
DE'VON HOLLAND
of Camden, NJ
What's your view of Camden?
The A New View Photo Contest showed us the BEST of Camden through your personal lens.
In addition to bringing attention to Camden’s illegal dumping problem, which costs $4 million annually, A New View aims to change the often-negative perception of the city. By highlighting Camden’s beauty, the photo contest is creating a new narrative for Camden, revealing a journey from a literal and figurative dumping ground to a place full of energy, artistic potential, and strength. The over 400 photos submitted highlighted the beauty in Camden’s parks, families, historic architecture, and nature along with the iconic features of City Hall, RCA Victor, Ben Franklin Bridge, and Philadelphia skyline.
Each week one lucky photographer received $50 and an opportunity to win our grand prize of $250. The grand prize winner was announced at a free outdoor movie night on August 30th at Cooper's Poynt Waterfront Park!
