Fall 2021 Events
The Stedman Gallery at Rutgers Camden Center for the Arts officially welcomed visitors to the A New View Camden exhibit with a special event: “Camden Is…Live,” with Erik James Montgomery. The event featured a panel discussion hosted by ANV project manager Vedra Chandler and photo subjects who participated in Erik’s “Camden Is” and “Camden Reframed” photo shoots for the project. The conversation was yet another way to give voice to the residents of the city of Camden, elevating the community and their involvement in A New View.
Following the panel and Q&A guests were treated to light refreshments as well as a free copy of the A New View Camden catalogue. On October 31st 2021 Camden Community Partnership together with our A New View Partners, City of Camden Dept of Human Services and Camden County Metro Police bid farewell to the A New View Public Art Project with a “Sunset Celebration” and Trunk or Treat. Over 1000 guests donned costumes and descended upon Cooper’s Poynt Waterfront park for the ultimate event of this overwhelmingly successful public art project.
